Things heated up in Aspen on Thursday night as Sledstyle kicked things off in its elimination round. Both Alternate riders, Nate Hagg and Daniel Bodin were added after Kourtney Hungerford and Justin Hoyer went down on the 110 foot step-down. Bodin taking full advantage of the opportunity he pushed his way in to the finals. Chris Burandt had the top score with 2 solid runs. SCS rider Heath Frisby claimed a qualifying 4th position being the only rider to pull the no-handed backflip.
In the end it took a solid run topped with a flip to make to the Sunday night head to head competition. With the riders going head to head the 1st ever final at Winter X games, its promising a great show for TV.
All of us at SCS want to congratulate all the riders that pre qualified and represented the sport of Sledstyle. Keep charging and we will see you in West Yellowstone for the SCS Sledstyle Invitational, March 15,16,17th.
